Synesso Preparing for Host Milano Debut.

For the first time, the Synesso team is preparing to make the trip across the Atlantic to show off our espresso machines at Host Milano. Better yet, we’ll be there with the help of some very special friends. 

HOST Milano is one serious trade show. In fact, it ranks among the largest in the world. Host contains so much more than just coffee and espresso equipment. This major trade event has entire convention halls dedicated to pizza ovens, gelato machines, and other categories of food service equipment. In 2021, a year where all attendees were masked and travel between countries still required testing, HOST saw over 110,000 attendees from over 144 countries.

Collaborative Coffee Service.

When determining how we wanted to approach coffee for Host, we decided to put our trust in two of the best coffee professionals we know; 2022 United States Barista Champion and 2022 World Barista Championship Runner Up, Morgan Eckroth and 2023 United States Barista Champion and 2023 World Barista Championship Finalist, Isaiah Sheese. Morgan and Isaiah have collaborated to curate a spectacular menu of coffees that will be served as espresso, milk drinks, and a selection of signature drinks. The menu will be rotated daily.

One of the aims of our coffee service is provide the opportunity to taste and experience some of the drink preparation methods used by baristas on the competition stage. At points during the show, milk drinks featuring cryodesiccated milk will be made and compared to milk drinks using freeze distilled milk. We’re very excited to take something that is usually reserved for coffee competitions and make it available to you. 

The Synesso stand is also a collaborative effort with our friends at Marco Beverage Systems. With Marco’s help, our coffee program will extend beyond the Synesso Hydra bar. Signature beverages will be crafted with concentrates being brewed on the Marco Cold bru. We’ll be mixing drinks and placing them on tap through Marco’s Pour’d system for easy delivery.
