About Synesso™

Synesso™ has been in business since July 2004 and we are very pleased and excited about the worldwide positive responses we have been receiving. We have sold machines into 15 countries and the interest continues to grow domestically and internationally. Thank you specialty coffee enthusiasts!

Mark

Mark Barnett has been in the espresso machine manufacturing industry since July 1994, beginning with a successful decade at La Marzocco International. Initially, Mark set up their Ballard, WA factory and ran the production facility, later gravitating towards research, development and design of new espresso machine products and upgrades to existing equipment. A career highlight and one of his greatest achievements is designing and producing the award winning, patented Swift Grinder for La Marzocco. Mark's goal is to produce one of the most reliable, thermally stable, and enjoyable to use commercial espresso machines available on the market today.

Sandy Schneiter, Mark's wife and business partner, wears many hats at Synesso™. Her background is in consumer electronics sales and professional communication tools. Sandy spends most of her time taking care of the business behind the business of producing these high quality, hand crafted commercial espresso machines.

Elizabeth and Jeremy

Elizabeth Snodgrass brings 11 years of espresso industry service to Synesso™. Her expertise in the espresso world includes being a barista, working in marketing, bench test, logistics, customer and technical support, and drinking massive quantities of the stuff. She's worked with various machines including La Marzocco, La San Marco, Rio/Astoria, Swift, Mazzer, and Franke. Elizabeth is now providing sales, service, and marketing support for Synesso™.

When not at work, Elizabeth enjoys snowboarding, playing with her incredibly cute dog, Lola, traveling, watching movies, and reading books.

Zach brings humor, intelligence and a wide variety of experience to Synesso. A recent college grad and Americorps volunteer, Zach was introduced into the Seattle and US coffee market at Franke Coffee Systems and is now on the manufacturing side of the business. His work ethic and sheer entertainment value make him an excellent co-worker.

Scott

Scott's contribution to Synesso™ is vast and continues to grow. He is our longest tenured warehouseman, assists with technical service phone calls, monitors inventory and reorder levels and is the resident computer guru. His quick wit and sense of humor helps to keep the shop atmosphere upbeat and moving.

Jeremy comes to Synesso™ with an immense knowledge and passion for coffee and espresso. Jeremy has worked in the espresso industry in Seattle for the past 8 years. His mechanical skills make him a natural for our field service work and in house assembly. His talents as a skilled barista are much appreciated by the staff and all visitors coming to Synesso™. Jeremy is also a dedicated musician and performs with a variety of bands locally.

Brandy

PART TIME STAFF: Brandy, our Cardboard Reclamation Technician. Very cute, and highly efficient (like her co-workers) Brandy is an industry leader in cardboard reclamation. She's been with Synesso™ since the beginning! When she's not at work, Brandy enjoys long walks and any kind of human food.

PART TIME STAFF: Ben (right) is our Lackey Numero Uno, straight outta high school and heading for the UW in the Fall. We make Ben do all kinds of things that he'll laugh about years from now when he becomes a doctor. Lola (left) is the other resident black dog, and is in charge of mandatory play breaks and ball chasing.
